In 2020, the economic operation of cement industry is characterized by "sharp decline, rapid recovery and stabilization". Cement production and sales increased from negative to positive year-on-year, reaching 2.377 billion tons in 2020, up 1.6% yoY, maintaining a high platform period. Cement prices are at a high level of volatility, showing a "first fall after rise" of the "V" type trend, the price level is equivalent to 2019, the industry achieved a profit of 183.3 billion yuan, basically in line with 2019. The cement industry has maintained a steady development trend. It is expected that demand will maintain the "platform period", including environmental protection, including a number of factors on the supply compression continued, cement industry prices and benefits will continue for nearly two years of the level, except for individual regions due to the downside risks of new capacity, mainstream market prices are expected to remain strong.
